Sky and Virgin Media offer ‘lowest-ever’ price and TV for free, don’t miss out

If you fancy getting access to TV and broadband at a cheaper price then now is a good time to go online shopping. Virgin Media and Sky have both launched mega money-saving deals on some of their most popular plans with lower costs and even access to premium telly channels for free. Sound enticing? Express.co.uk has been looking at the discounts and here’s all you need to know including how much money you could save.

First up there’s a very limited time deal from Virgin Media. The telecoms giant is currently offering its Bigger Combo bundle + Sports HD bundle for just £59.99 per month – that’s its lowest price of 2024.

This plan – which usually costs £71 – includes ultrafast 362Mbps broadband, access to over 190 TV channels including eight premium Sky Sports services such as Sky F1 and Sky Main Event.

Those signing up will also get a Virgin TV 360 box which offers recordings, on-demand shows and the ability to pause and rewind live shows.

The only thing to be aware of is that this deal ends tonight, September 2, so there’s not long left to sign up and take advantage.

Virgin has also confirmed that at the end of the 18-month contract, prices will rocket to £150 per month so make sure you cancel or give the firm a call to negotiate a better price.

So, that’s Virgin’s deal but what about Sky?

Sky has a number of TV deals available now including one that offers TV for free. Yes, if you sign up for Sky Stream you’ll get access to telly channels and Netflix without paying a penny.

The freebie lasts for the first month with things then costing £28 per month (£31 if you don’t want a contract).

For those unaware, Sky Stream is a tiny set-top box that is sent out in the post and can be DIY installed. Instead of using a dish it beams all content to TVs via broadband instead. Sky Stream also features a backlit remote, easy access to all the most popular streaming services such as Netflix plus you can store content to watch at a later date via the online Playlists function.

If Sky Stream sounds enacting there’s also a deal which includes this device plus access to Sports, TV and Netflix for just £20.

Once again that price is for the first month with things then increasing to £46 for the remainder of the 24-month contract.
